**How?** Become an **Associate Accounts Payable** at Abbott in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
As an **Associate Accounts Payable** you will manage timely and accurate processing of vendor documents, administrative check requests, transfer request from various depts. and vendors. Daily interaction with internal and external customers. Ability to make difficult decisions and multi task through different systems. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. File documents properly, support Internal and External audit process and analysis of internal controls and segregation of duties, Support FA documents reconciliation. Document and follow process according with Abbott guidelines and Puerto Rico regulations.
**HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?**
+ Main contact person for all Accounts Payable (AP) related questions.
+ Ensure ACRs, invoices, and PRs are approved, processed and paid timely.
+ Proper documentation and follow up must be adhered to maintain proper controls and Abbott guidelines.
+ Route ACRs for approvals as appropriate.
+ Process approved ACRs and purchase order related invoices daily.
+ Maintain electronic records of all ACRs, PRs and Delegations of Authority.
+ Develop positive working relationship with OEC, Purchasing, Legal, budgetary approvers, and Finance counterparts.
+ The resolution of errors includes contacting accounting representatives and external customer communication through voice mail and email.
+ Identify and assist to implement process improvements on an ongoing basis according with Abbott guidelines and Puerto Rico regulations.
+ Support Fixed Assets physical inventory and tagging, reconciliation of documents.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Preferred in Accounting.
+ 0 -2 years office experience within 1 year AP/ER experience.
+ Previous Finance and PC knowledge is required.
+ Bilingual English-Spanish.
+ Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills): Applies knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and working knowledge of other related disciplines. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
+ Cognitive Skills: May design, develop, or modify area-specific processes or procedures. Assignments require considerable judgment, high degree of initiative, creative approaches in troubleshooting, and making recommendations for continuous quality improvement of work methods for functional area.
