Description:This position will be an expatriate assignment located in Germany, part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control and MBDA Deutschland joint venture team to develop the next generation Integrated Air and Missile Defense System, TLVS, for the German Bundeswehr. The joint venture will be the prime contractor for this new system, which is headquartered in Schrobenhausen, Germany. The company will also have operations in Dallas, Texas, Huntsville, Alabama, and Syracuse, New York, as well as locations in Ulm and Koblenz, Germany.TLVS is a highly mobile ground-based air and missile defense system for protection against the current and future threat spectrum in the lower tier. TLVS is based on the technology and development results of the trinational MEADS air and missile defense system (US, Germany, Italy). The development of this latest generation air defense system was proven by the system demonstration in 2014. TLVS will be employed by Germany in the context of national and collective defense as well as for the protection of deployed troops, facilities and areas against all kinds of aerial threats including the interception of the latest generation of ballistic missiles. The individual components of the system are mounted on protected vehicles, offering high tactical mobility for the protection of mobile land forces.Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a motivated and driven Systems Architect for the TLVS (Taktisches Luftverteidigungsystem) program. This position will be located in Schrobenhausen, Germany at Lockheed Martins joint venture (JV) partners facility. This individual uses an architecture modelling tool (i.e. Sparx Enterprise Architect) to develop and document TLVS Use Cases, system behavior, and static structures in accordance with the NATO Architecture Frameworkn (NAF). In close coordination with other SEIT teams, they assess impacts of changes, recognize dependencies on other functions, and elaborate the functionality of an Air and Missile Defense system (i.e. EO, FO, SSO, communications). Additionally, this individual serves as the primary architecture process expert on the TLVS Architecture Team. Must be able to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for consideration.THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARDBasic Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 20+ years of relevant, professional experience or 18+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree Willingness to work OCONUS in Germany Expertise in radar system design, development, operation, and performance analysis Experience in leading multi-functional teams Strong proficiency in system development, software development, and complex Integration and Test activities Strong proficiency with complex software systems development and integration Strong customer skills for both domestic and international programs Must be able to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
